Tess & Dave - Mount Tamborine

April brings with it cooler mornings and autumn air – it’s the perfect time for hinterland weddings. Usually a few degrees cooler than the city or the coast, Mount Tamborine turned on an uncharacteristically warm, humid day for Tess and Dave. Thankfully the forecast showers cleared to a stunning blue sky.

Albert River Winery was the perfect backdrop for the intimate ceremony. Dave watched the vintage car wind its way through the vines, up the hill, to deliver his beautiful bride to the red carpet and hilltop garden pavilion. They couldn’t hide their excitement to see each other and their strong connection was on show.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed canapés and a few competitive games of croquet and bocce while we made the most of the vineyard and soft afternoon light – not having to travel made it a relaxed, unhurried photoshoot. The fun, uneven bridal party was perfect for the rural backdrop (Tess had a bridesman accompanying her bridesmaids), but as always, the real magic happens when the bride and groom are able to snatch a few private moments together.

As the sunset on a perfect autumn day, they joined their guests to celebrate their marriage and party into the night.
