Samara & Adrian - Walkabout Creek

After the engagement shoot earlier this year I knew this wedding would be something special, there’s just something about young love. Adrian and Samara share a special sense fun and freedom so I knew we’d capture some wonderful moments while having a laugh. Both bride and groom got ready at the Mantra Southbank, which meant we had some great locations for pre-ceremony shots but had to be well coordinated to keep them apart! It was a beautiful spring day, all sunshine and blue sky.

The ceremony was under the shade of an arbor and lush bushland overlooking the lake at Walkabout Creek, the perfect location for an intimate and unique ceremony. I’ve been to a lot of weddings, but the vows they wrote for each other even made me giggle and tear-up.

After family shots we headed down the bush track to get to the lake – not an easy walk for the bridesmaids with high heels and injuries but the gallant groomsmen made sure they made it down safely. We all had some fun with a few silly poses, and the boys didn’t mind at all having two bridesmaids each. After a quiet moment together, Adrian and Samara joined their guests for the reception to celebrate their perfect pairing. Samara had set up a “photo booth” for me with a backdrop and variety of costumes for guests to have some fun. It was a truly special day, and that shows through in their photos, a forever keepsake.
