Lacey & Aaron - Hope Island Links

I’ve always wanted to photograph a Hope Island wedding so I was almost as excited as Aaron and Lacey when the sun rose on a perfect blue-sky day. It was unseasonably hot but the boys were lucky there was a cool breeze off the lake at Hope Island Links to keep them cool in their suits.

As the guests gathered in the private garden, Aaron tried to catch a glimpse of his bride as the classic cars wove their way past the lake. Lacey looked stunning and Aaron had to hold back tears as the emotion of the moment almost overwhelmed them both. Heartfelt readings and humorous vows created a unique and very personal ceremony. After a quick group shot the bridal party piled into golf carts and we made the most of the fantastic location – there’s no need to travel when you’re surrounded by tranquil greens, meandering paths and established gardens.

We often say it’s the groomsmen’s job to make jokes and get everyone laughing; these two were working the crowd like it was open mic night at a standup comedy bar! The bride and groom enjoyed some quiet time together by the lake at sunset. Their affection for each other and excitement to be married was honest and genuine; they couldn’t hide it if they tried.
